OPEN DAY MAY 14th  - THANK YOU

First of all, many thanks to our visitors for coming along to our Open Day on Sunday 14 May; we hope that you enjoyed the experience, and look forward to seeing you back again at our club in the near future.

Very many thanks to all of our members who gave up their time to help make our Open Day such a successful one. To the four coaches who worked virtually non-stop, to the ‘meet’n’greeters’ and the escorts, to the catering team, and to all those who came to help the coaches on the green, to chat to visitors, or to show how it’s played - a big 'thank you'!

We welcomed 16 visitors on the day who tried out bowls, and many of them took away information & application forms, and said that they would be returning for further coaching. We even signed up one new member on the spot! We could not have done this without your help, so thank you once again.

HOT SHOTS!

Many congratulations to Margaret Mead, Andrea Nunney and Doreen Weight in winning a Bowls International Hot Shots Award for scoring a 'Perfect 9' in a Cristal League match against Sutton Common. The last time one of our Ladies teams achieved this was in 2012, when the winning trio were Honor Goodge, Barbara Rye and Shirley Tracey.

Fund Raising

All members can help raise much-need funds by using Easyfundraising, which gives the Club a percentage of the monies spent on-line or instore at many well-known company's/stores. This is a really interesting project and is not only open to Auriol members on-line but also to family and friends etc. All they have to do is register with Easyfundraising and register for Auriol Bowling Club. The whole process is easy and with great help/assistance from Easyfundraising if needed.
